Lombard Matshinge showers underprivilage children with school uniform

Dozens of underprivilaged primary school children from Tshithuthuni Primary School have benefited from a special donation from the primary school's alumni Lombard Matshinge.

The award winning musician from Venda in Limpopo Province, Lombard Matshige has donated sets of school uniforms and shoes to Tshithuthuni Primary School which is in Tshithuthuni Village, Limpopo Province, South Africa.
As an annual tradition that began in 2004, the gospel crooner popularily known as Minister Lombard has been giving basic neccessities to this school through his CSI pillar the Lombard Matshinge Foundation. Matshinge has always had a burden to give back to the underprivilaged due to the poor background he also grew up in.

“The bible tells us it is better to give than to recive”, Lombard commented. “And any investment in education is an investment in our future leaders”, he added. The appreciative children were joined by their teachers and parents to receive the parcels. Some parents came through to accept the uniforms on behalf of their kids. Lombard Matshinge who is planning to return to Tshithuthuni village to stage a thanksgiving concert in December is aimimg to raise more funds towards rebuilding some of the school delapitating infrastructure. The School principal and governing commitee were grateful for this much-needed donation.

“My wish is to find means to do this all over the continent as the need as dire across Africa,” the well
travelled musician concluded. Those who wish to be involved can contact the Lombard Matshinge foundation to donate uniforms from January to September. The foundation's vision is big and includes providing bursaries, computers and more in th near future. Contact +27 76 793 0451 or email lombardmatshinge@gmail.com.
